BRENTWOOD goalkeeper Melvin Minter was accused of timewasting in the most creative fashion during a match against Bury Town.
The Blues visited Bury in their Isthmian League North Division play-off semi-final on Tuesday at Ram Meadow.
Brentwood won 3-1 and advanced to the final where they were ultimately beaten by Bowers & Pitsea 3-2 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Minter, 29, went viral during the semi-final’s closing stages as he tripped during an attempt to take on a goal-kick.
The fans accused the keeper of deliberate timewasting as he then went on to wipe his face with his towel.
The referee showed the Brentwood No1 a yellow card after the bizarre incident.
