Watch Phil Foden return to England training after birth of third child to fight for spot in team for Euro 2024 last 16


PHIL FODEN has returned to England training ahead of Sunday’s round of 16 clash with Slovakia.

The Manchester City star, 24, and his partner Rebecca Cooke, welcomed their third child yesterday.

Foden has started all three of England’s matches at Euro 2024 thus far.

He left the Three Lions camp on Wednesday to be there for the birth of his third child.

Rebecca gave birth to a baby boy yesterday, with England star Foden by her side.

He has since returned to the England camp and could be in contention to play in the round of 16 on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s side will take on Slovakia in Schalke.

Foden already has two children – Ronnie, four, and True, one, with his childhood sweetheart Rebecca.

He announced that he was expecting a third child back in April, when he threw a Man City-sky blue themed baby shower.

Anthony Gordon, a potential alternative to Foden in the starting line-up, is sporting a shiner on his chin after suffering a freak injury.

The Newcastle winger, 23, fell off his bike during a recovery session.

He has since been spotted sporting nasty grazes on his chin and nose, as well as red marks on his chin and hands.
