Watch Dortmund star completely stack it as celebration goes horribly wrong but fans say ‘bless his heart’


BORUSSIA DORTMUND defender Nico Schlotterbeck came close to suffering an injury AFTER the club’s Champions League semi-final win on Tuesday.

The German side clinched a 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain to secure a spot in next month’s final at Wembley Stadium.

Mats Hummels scored the decisive goal as Dortmund won 2-0 on aggregate.

Edin Terzic’s side got the celebrations going straight after the final whistle, with the entire squad running over to the Parc des Princes away end.

While club legend Marco Reus got in amongst the crowd, Schlotterbeck attempted to join Marcel Sabitzer and Ian Maatsen by standing on a box.

But when he tried to jump on, the defender slipped and landed directly onto his back.

His team-mates were left in stitches while Emre Can helped him to his feet.

Fans took to social media to react to the clip, which went viral after the match.

One person wrote: “Hope he’s not injured!”

Another commented: “Careful, Schlotterbeck! You have got a UCL final to play soon…”

The winger stood on a table with a speaker in-hand while singing ‘Someone Like You’.

The entire Dortmund squad proceeded to sing the tune.
