FANS have dubbed Tom Derry’s red card against Billericay Town the “best sending off you’ll ever see”.
The striker was dismissed in the 75th minute of Folkestone Invicta’s latest Isthmian League Premier Division clash on Saturday.
Visitors Billericay had been leading 2-0 before a break in play for one of their players to receive treatment.
During the stoppage, their goalkeeper and a defender could be seen passing the ball back and forth before Derry attempted to retrieve it.
This prompted the Billericay duo to flick the ball in the air before kicking it over Derry’s head in their own game of piggy-in-the-middle.
The former Gillingham forward was having none of it, though, as he charged at the goalkeeper, leaving him in a heap on the turf.

Derry could then be seen grabbing the stopper in a bid to drag him back to his feet as tempers flared during the seventh tier fixture.
After consulting with his assistant, the referee showed Derry a straight red card.
Meanwhile, footage of the incident quickly went viral on social media to the amusement of supporters.
One fan commented: “Piggy in the middle s***housery.”

One more said: “Could well be my favourite ever red card.”
Folkestone’s afternoon went from bad to worse in the final minute as Ibrahim Jalloh added a third for the Blues.
His strike followed a brace from Ashley Nazala in a 3-0 away victory.
The results leaves Billericay third in the Isthmian League Premier Divison, whilst Folkestone are 14th after their second defeat of the season.
