Watch as Antony ‘is used as a CONE’ in Man Utd training as fans lose their minds over awkward footage

FANS have joked that the Manchester United coaching staff have resorted to using £86m flop Antony as “a cone” in training.

The struggling winger has failed to live up to his mega price tag on the pitch since his arrival from Ajax in 2022.

Antony has managed just five goals in 55 Premier League appearances for United since making the switch from the Dutch giants.

And a clip of him being rainbow flicked by Amad Diallo in training has led fans to think that he is simply being used as a piece of training equipment by manager Erik ten Hag now.

The video shows Diallo flick to ball over Antony’s head while the Brazilian stands completely still on the edge of the box.

Of course, Antony is not being used as a cone, but that didn’t stop fans from teasing the star online.

One wrote: “Antony is so bad we’re using him as a cone now in training.”

While another added: “We’re using Antony for a cone, I’m dead.”

A third fumed: “Most expensive cone ever.”

And a fourth joked: “It’s his best position so far”.

United fans’ brutal criticism of Antony comes after he has failed to make any significant impact on the club during his time at the Theatre of Dreams.

Erik ten Hag appears to be running out of patience with the winger too, playing him for just ONE MINUTE so far this season.

Although the Dutchman, who also managed Antony at Ajax, may have to give the out-of-favour star another chance.

Things look like they need a shake up on the pitch for United with the Red Devils losing two of their opening three Premier League clashes this season.

And Sunday’s 3-0 home thrashing at the hands of Liverpool proved that something needs to give to spark Ten Hag’s side back into life.
