THOMAS TUCHEL gatecrashed TNT Sports’ pre-match coverage to chat to Rio Ferdinand ahead of Bayern Munich’s Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
The Bayern boss approached Ferdinand, who was on punditry duty alongside Steve McManaman and Laura Woods, while his team were warming up at the Santiago Bernabeu after their incredible 2-1 loss.
Discussing what was said, the United legend revealed: “I just said good luck to him and he’s so relaxed.
“He’s such a calm character. You’d never know this is a semi-final, one of his last opportunities to win a trophy.
“So good luck to him.”
McManaman then chimed in to ask: “What about the Manchester United job?”

To which Ferdinand replied: “That was the final part of the talk! Where are you going?”
Tuchel has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks amid uncertainty surrounding Erik ten Hag’s future.
The Dutchman is expected to leave Man Utd this summer after failing to compete in the Premier League.
Tuchel is one of several names in line alongside Gareth Southgate and Graham Potter.
