FANS have been left baffled by Jordan Henderson’s over the top celebration for winning a throw-in.
The England star was pumped up when leading a solo press for Ajax against Eredivisie opponents FC Utrecht.
Henderson was donning the captain’s armband for Ajax in a 2-0 win over Utrecht and was clearly giving his all.
In a video shared by the official Ajax X account, the 33-year-old could be seen chasing down a loose ball deep into the Utrecht half in an attempt to win back possession for his side.
And after an intense press the former Liverpool man managed to force Utrecht goalkeeper Mattijs Branderhorst to mishit his clearance and give away a throw-in.
The normally standard passage of play led Henderson to go mad and celebrate with the Ajax fans inside the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Others perhaps jokingly suggested that the passionate effort may have earned Henderson a spot in Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros this summer.
One wrote: “Southgate will be impressed with that run.”
And a second added: “He better be in the England squad after this.”
While a third chimed in writing: “He knows the Euros are approaching.”
Henderson is settling into life in Amsterdam since signing for Ajax in January after his sour spell in Saudi came to an end.
The former Al-Ettifaq man has captained Ajax in his last two league appearances and is becoming a more regular feature in manager John van ‘t Schip’s side.
