GERMANY have drawn 1-1 with Switzerland after a frantic group stage clash.
The Swiss took a shock lead in Frankfurt after Dan Ndoye converted from close range.
Niclas Fullkrug’s last-gasp goal made it 1-1 and secured Germany’s spot at the top of Group A.

Fullkrug slays Swiss with late goal
Niclas Fullkrug rose to head home a superb cross by David Raum.
The Frankfurt Arena erupted as the ball nestled in the back of the net.
It was a great header by the striker who showed his true worth to Julian Nagelsmann’s side.

In an action-packed match, Hungary striker Barnabas Varga suffered a serious injury when he collided with Scotland keeper Angus Gunn.
The player was stretchered off with his teammates visibly shocked with what they have witnessed.
Csoboth scored a late winner for the Hungarians and held his teammates shirt aloft as a show of support for Varga.
The goal meant that Scotland’s stay in Euro 2024 is over and they will be disappointed with their performance.
Xhaka proves priceless to Swiss
After having a superb season with Bayer Leverkusen, Granit Xhaka has taken that form into Euro 2024.
He marshalled the Swiss team and proved to be their leader from start to finish.
If they are going to pull off an upset in the knockout phase, Xhaka will be key to their chances.
Final round of games shapes Group A
Germany finished the group stages top on seven points with Switzerland in second on five points.
Hungary scored a late goal to beat Scotland 1-0.
As a result, the Scots finish bottom of Group A while Hungary are in third place on three points.
