The fan correctly predicted the results of five Premier League games selected by Sky Sports this weekend and came painfully close to pocketing the life-changing sum of money.
He correctly guessed the scorelines of Manchester City’s win over Ipswich, Tottenham’s thumping of Everton and West Ham’s victory away at Crystal Palace from the Saturday 3pm games.
And he then got the score of Arsenal’s 2-0 win at Aston Villa bang on to take him into Super Sunday.
Bournemouth thought they had beaten Newcastle 2-1 with a stoppage time winner, only for VAR to controversially disallow it to the supporter’s delight.
It all came down to the final match, with the punter needing Liverpool to beat Brentford 3-0.
