The Atletico Madrid ace scored La Roja’s opening goal of the tournament and got an assist in their semi-final victory over France.

While he wasn’t able to contribute directly to either Nico Williams’ opener or Mikel Oyarzabal’s winner against England, Morata still featured for 68 minutes of the final.

And at the final whistle, he rushed into the stands to celebrate with wife Alice Campello.

The pair embraced in a heartfelt hug and kiss that was shared to social media.

Morata and Alice, who have four children together, were seen hugging while one of their sons was crying their eyes out following the game.

In the video Alice was seen in a black leather coat.

Later on when she made it down to the pitch, the Italian model and fashion designer was seen in a red dress to match the occasion.

After meeting in 2016 when Morata played for Juventus, the couple got married in 2017 and had a star-studded wedding reception that featured the likes of Isco and Simone Zaza.

Earlier in the tournament, Morata had threatened to quit the Spanish national team over a lack of respect.

In a controversial interview to Spanish outlet El Mundo, he said: “It could be [my last tournament with Spain].

“It’s a possibility that I don’t want to talk about too much, but it’s probable.”

Morata went on to explain that he prefers playing outside of Spain as he insisted there is “no respect” in his homeland

He added: “In Spain it’s hard for me to be happy.

“Without doubt [I’m happier outside of Spain]. I’ve said it many times. Above all, because people respect me.

“In Spain there’s no respect for anything or anyone.”

After winning their quarter-final over Portugal, he said: “The other day, people said I was crying [on the touchline] because I’d been given a yellow card.

“What nonsense is that! I was crying because my country, with me as captain, had got into the semi-finals.

“I could never criticise someone who was crying because of that. But I’m criticised, when I’d cut my hand off to win the Euros.

“I try to enjoy this tournament, which could be my last games with the national team, and in the future, what will be, will be. Maybe one day they’ll even miss me.

“Each day, the moment for leaving is closer, that’s why I enjoy it, that’s why I’ll cry at whatever comes next, for good or bad.”

Morata first captained his country back in 2022, and took the armband permanently in 2023.
