SOCCER AID fans are in awe after seeing Danny Dyer’s defensive skills against two footballing legends.
The former Eastenders actor starred England team at the charity match held at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, which ultimately finished 6-3 in a first victory for the Three Lions since 2018.
Dyer, 46, stunned fans after defending Juventus legend Alessandro del Piero and Chelsea icon Eden Hazard.
One shocked fan said: “Watching Danny Dyer defend against del Piero and Eden Hazard is something I never thought I’d see and I’m all for it.”
Another even compared him to Italian icon Paolo Maldini, they tweeted: “Danny Dyer is moving like Maldini.”
Chelsea legend Gary Cahill told SunSport earlier this week: “Danny Dyer yesterday played centre-half next to me, he looked really really good, really good – it looks like he’s come back with some new fitness.”

Dyer may not be in the Three Lions squad but his son-in-law Jarrod Bowen is.
