SHEFFIELD UNITED’S match with Tottenham Hotspur was stopped in the 16th minute due to a medical emergency in the crowd.
Fans alerted staff to an ongoing medical emergency which led to players being taken off the pitch.
Referee Andy Madley stopped players to bring players to the dugouts to allow medical staff to get to the fan in distress.
Play was then paused for three minutes while players took instruction from managers Ange Postecoglou and Chris Wilder.
Play was then resumed in the nineteenth minute of the game, with the fan being treated by medical staff.
The incident came shortly after Dejan Kulusevski had opened the scoring for Spurs in the 14th minute.

The goal came against the run of play after Sheffield United started the brighter of the two teams.
Sheffield United entered the game bottom of the Premier League table and already relegated.
Spurs meanwhile face a shootout with rivals Chelsea to finish fifth in the league.
The Lilywhites need a win to confirm their place in the Europa League.
