SERGIO AGUERO saw his return to the pitch cut short following a shoulder injury.
Aguero was playing in a legends’ match marking the 120th anniversary of his boyhood club Independiente when he took a tumble under a challenge.
The 35-year-old was back playing after announcing his premature retirement back in 2021 as a result of heart issues that arose during a match for Barcelona.
But after getting the all-clear to participate in the legends’ game he was unable to get more than 11 minutes under his belt after his shoulder POPPED OUT.
The Man City icon was driving towards the box with the ball under his spell when he fell to the ground after a tackle from Juan Eduardo Eluchans.
The tumble saw Aguero slam his shoulder into the turf and subsequently leave the pitch and watch the rest of the clash from the bench.
