LORIS KARIUS is set to leave Newcastle at the end of the season, according to reports.
The goalkeeper signed for Toon in September 2022, initially penning a short-term deal until the following January.
But he was kept on as a back-up option and even played in the 2023 Carabao Cup final following injuries to Nick Pope and Martin Dubravka.
However Newcastle have now decided not to renew his contract which expires this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Karius, 30, has made just two appearances for the club – and just one this season.
Newcastle have instead opted to offer a new deal to another goalkeeper at the club, Mark Gillespie.

Karius is now on the search for the sixth club of his career.
He had permanent spells at Mainz and Liverpool, where he famously cost the Reds in the 2018 Champions League final.
Karius also spent time on loan at Besiktas and Union Berlin before joining Newcastle.
The keeper could move to Italy to be with partner Diletta Leotta and their baby daughter Aria.
