The ex-player in question made 17 top-flight appearances in England for Everton.
He joined the Toffees on loan from LA Galaxy in 2010 and 2012, scoring two goals and providing nine assists in 22 outings.
The striker, now 42, also played for Bayer Leverkusen, San Jose Earthquakes, Bayern Munich and Mexican side Leon.
And he made a staggering 157 appearances for the United States national team, making him the second most capped player in the country’s history.
Five years on from his retirement, he is now a broadcaster for US TV company Fox Sports.
