PEP GUARDIOLA has opened up about his relationship with music icon Noel Gallagher.
Oasis singer Gallagher, 56, is a lifelong Manchester City superfan and regularly attends games at the Etihad Stadium.
He was the first to interview Guardiola following the Spaniard’s arrival in Manchester eight years ago and the pair have since established a close relationship.
Gallagher regularly connects with the Man City boss before and after games.
And Guardiola has admitted that the singer’s support helped him settle in England.
During an interview with Men in Blazers, the 52-year-old said: “There is something special because when I arrived here in Manchester, the first interview was with Noel, I thought two things, maybe the best band in the last 40 or 50 years after the Beatles, was Oasis. Him and Liam – another fan.

Man City made history last season by winning the treble.
They also added the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to their 2023 trophy haul earlier this season.
Discussing his hunger for winning, Guardiola added: “The numbers are incredible. Now be humble, incredible clubs and players.
“Barca, Bayern and City are all strong economically to buy the best players in the world and have the structure at our disposal to do the job.
“I think the mentality I grew up with at Barca from 15 years old is you are not allowed to lose, have to keep getting better and better.
“Maybe it’s now in my bones and I try to inoculate this into my players, the clubs, backroom staff.”
