PAUL MERSON looked exasperated with fellow pundit Michael Dawson after his jibe about Arsenal fans.
The pair were part of Sky Sports’ team covering the North London derby.
Arsenal won the contest 3-2 after leading 3-0 at half-time, with Dawson making fun of the pressure the Gunners put their own supporters under.
He said: “At the end Arsenal are hanging on and they’re nervous they’re going for a title.
“Nerves kick in and obviously for Merse and Arsenal and all those fans they go home happy.”
Merse the replied to the former Tottenham defender’s comments.

He said: “It helps them in good stead for next year though Tottenham, that fightback.”
An awkward silence followed as Merson shot Dawson a puzzled look as he shook his head with his mouth agape, before host Dave Jones joked that “we’ll move on to the bigger picture later”.

Roy Keane allowed himself a wry smile as Micah Richards cheekily looked away, clearly feeling the tension in the air.
Merson will be the happier of the two after his former side Arsenal boosted their title credentials.
