ENGLAND will have to overcome the “ITV curse” to avoid a horror draw in the Euro 2024 last 16.
A win for the Three Lions will see them top Group C, setting up a clash with the third place team from Group D, E or F on Sunday.
However, if they fail to beat Slovenia and Denmark beat Serbia, England could finish second to set up a tie with hosts Germany after Julian Nagelsmann‘s side won Group A.
There are 52 places between England and Slovenia but Gareth Southgate’s side have not impressed so far.
And to make matters worse the clash will be shown live on ITV – a broadcaster England have struggled on in major tournaments.
England have played on ITV 30 times in major tournaments since 1998, winning just seven.

They have drawn 13 and lost 10 on the channel, including the 2022 World Cup quarter-final against France.
The BBC on the other hand boast a far better record, and showed England’s 3-0 win over Wales and 6-2 victory over Iran in Qatar.
The broadcaster also aired England’s first two Euros games, including the 1-0 win over Serbia.
In total England have featured on the BBC 29 times in major tournaments since 1998 and they have won an impressive 20 of those games.
