Newcastle closing in on free transfer for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo

NEWCASTLE are closing in on a free transfer for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo.

The 26-year-old has reportedly been offered a long-term deal at St James’ Park worth more than £100k-a-week.

Tosin Adarabioyo is set to leave Fulham at the end of the season

The former Manchester City kid recently reiterated his desire to leave Fulham in the summer when his deal expires – which SunSport revealed back in December.

He has since snubbed the offer of fresh terms – which would have made him one of the highest earners at the West London club.

The defender was left out of Fulham’s squad for last weekend’s draw with Crystal Palace, having started the club’s previous nine matches.

Marco Silva does not plan on featuring him for the remaining three games of the season.

Newcastle’s recruitment team have been keeping tabs on Adarabioyo for a while.

And Eddie Howe needs reinforcements at centre-back after Sven Botman’s serious knee injury.

Tosin arrived at Fulham in October 2020 for around £2million and has made 129 appearances over the last four seasons.
