THE son of a former Spain international has appeared on the reality show “First Dates”.
Cristian Gonzalez, 20, was on the Spanish version of the programme as he sought help with his love life.
A semi-professional footballer, Gonzalez revealed on the show that his father was an international star.
Dani Guiza, 43, earned 21 caps for Spain and scored twice on their way to Euro 2008 glory.
Speaking to the cameras about his dad, footballer Gonzalez said: “He is an idol. For me he is the greatest thing. Thanks to him I have everything.”
Gonzalez went on a date with 20-year-old Laura who he described as a “hottie”, “very pretty” and “very blonde”.

Date had never heard of Guiza
During the dinner, he revealed that Guiza was his dad, but Laura had no idea who he was.
However, she did discuss once meeting Real Betis and Spain icon Joaquin.
She said: “When I was little I went to a birthday party and a friend had a dad who was a footballer, and he came along.

“I have a photo with Joaquin. I was five years old.”

At the end of the evening, the pair agreed to go on a second date.
They then walked off hand in hand and went on for a drink elsewhere.
Guiza netted in Spain’s Euro 2008 semi-final win against Russia and came off the bench in the final.
His club career has included stints with the likes of Mallorca, Getafe, Fenerbahce and Cadiz.
He is still playing at amateur level for Spanish side Algaida.
