KYLIAN Mbappe is “astonished” by his name being linked to rape allegations in Sweden, his lawyer claims.
The Real Madrid ace has slammed the serious sexual abuse accusations as “fake news” with his team saying he has nothing to be sorry about.
Mbappe, 25, is reportedly being looked into by cops after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a Swedish hotel room last week.
The France captain is yet to be officially named as the suspect in the case despite national news outlets saying they are “100 per cent sure” he is the focus of the investigations.
But the footballing superstar reportedly has no idea what he is being accused of, according to his lawyer.
Marie-Alix Canu-Bernard told TF1 news that Mbappe is “calm” in wake of the allegations due to believing he is completely innocent.

The lawyer said: “He is never alone. He is never exposed to a situation where he would be taking a risk.
“And so, this totally excludes the fact that there could have been reprehensible actions on his part.
“The only thing I can say is that he has nothing to be ashamed of. The second is that we don’t know anything.”
Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet first reported that a complaint was made to police on Saturday after the accuser visited a hospital ward for rape victims.

Police were reportedly told that the alleged victim was raped inside the Bank Hotel on Thursday, October 10.
Expressen reported that Mbappe dined at the Chez Jolie restaurant before going to the V nightclub in Stockholm with pals.

He partied at an exclusive nightclub where pals featured on the guest list reportedly had to put their phones in envelopes when they arrived.
Sometime after, the alleged rape and abuse is said to have taken place back at a hotel in Stockholm.
Cops then launched an investigation and have been conducting searches of the Bank Hotel since.
They seized several items of clothing from a room including a pair of underwear, black trousers and a black top to analyse, say Expressen.
Officials are yet to confirm the clothes being seized or who they belong to.
The World Cup winner is said to have been on a two-day trip to Sweden with his entourage at the time of the claims.
His lawyer said he was around a group of his closest friends and security at all times during the trip.
Mbappe left Sweden Friday on a private jet before the complaint had been filed.
French radio station RMC said those in his inner circle “remain calm” despite the allegations.
His entourage shot back at the allegations, telling AFP: “A new slanderous rumour is starting to spread across the web from the Swedish media Aftonbladet.
“These accusations are completely false and irresponsible, and their propagation is unacceptable.
“In order to put an end to this methodical destruction all necessary legal actions will be taken to re-establish the truth and pursue any person or media involved in the moral harassment and defamatory treatment that Kylian Mbappe is suffering repeatedly.”
The former Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco star also scolded the Swedish news outlets for allegedly spreading “fake news“.
He put out a statement on X saying: “FAKE NEWS !!!! It’s becoming so predictable, just before the hearing as if by chance.”
No further information on the case has been released since the allegations came to light.
But Mbappe’s club side Real Madrid have reportedly edited their star man out of a charity promotion just a day after the allegations were made.
One image, posted by English midfielder Jude Bellingham, showed him, Roberto Carlos and Mbappe posing with a group of artists.

Bellingham swiftly deleted the group snap as a second near identical pic was released by Real Madrid.
The only difference was that Mbappe was seemingly edited out – leaving behind a gap in the image.
