MANCHESTER CITY got off to the dream start in their Champions League quarter-final against Real Madrid thanks to a freak goal.
Just over a minute into the game, Bernardo Silva scored as he caught goalkeeper Andriy Lunin out from a free-kick.
With most expecting a cross, the City midfielder decided to take a shot.
Silva whipped his free-kick towards the near post and beyond the Ukrainian’s grasp.
The unusual goal stunned the Santiago Bernabeu into silence.
TNT Sports commentator Ally McCoist slammed Lunin, saying: “I ain’t having the goalkeeper.”

Eduardo Camavinga’s long-range shot took a deflection and flew into the back of the net to equalise.
