Liverpool vs Fulham preview
There should be a bit of confidence and belief in both sides heading into this first leg.
Liverpool continued their fine form which has saw them catapult to the top of the Premier League table, when beating Arsenal in the FA Cup on Sunday.
They probably rode their luck at times but Jurgen Klopp’s men winning 2-0 showed a different side to them, particular as they navigate without Mo Salah this month.
They’re clearly the strong favourites to win this tie and must surely be confident of winning the trophy itself.
Fulham came through in penalties against Everton in the previous round and have recorded back-to-back wins coming into this one.
The win over Arsenal was followed by a 1-0 victory over Championship side Rotherham in the FA Cup over the weekend.
The odds suggest they have their work cut out here though….

Liverpool vs Fulham betting tips
Diogo Jota looks sure to be involved here and is a very generous price to make his mark.
Despite that generosity, we’ve still sought even more value and reckon he could get at least a double here.
He’s been unfortunate not to get more game time since his return from injury and can stake his claim to Klopp here.
Joao Palhinha is a popular name in these write-ups – especially against the big teams who’ll dominate possession.
The midfielder is being watched by some big clubs this month and is a huge player for the visitors here.
But he’s prone to a foul or two (or a few….) and one either side of the break will do for us.

Cody Gakpo’s time at Liverpool has been a frustration, particularly after a promising start.
He’s another that has had to bide his time, with a game like this potentially a game-changer for his Reds future.
