Kane & Dier’s Bayern slip SEVEN POINTS off league leaders after shock loss as fans say ‘you can take a man out of Spurs’

FORMER Tottenham duo Harry Kane and Eric Dier were mocked by football fans following Bayern Munich’s shock defeat to Werder Bremen.

Bundesliga champions Bayern failed to break down the resilient visitors on Saturday afternoon as they suffered a 1-0 loss in front of their own fans.

It is the German giants’ second league defeat of the season and their first at home since May last year.

And it could be a damning result in their pursuit of a 12th consecutive Bundesliga title.

They now sit SEVEN POINTS adrift of table toppers Bayer Leverkusen, albeit with one game in hand.

Spurs’ record scorer Kane, 30, has bagged 26 goals in 24 games for Bayern in all competitions.

He is also on course to break Robert Lewandowski’s single season record of 41 Bundesliga goals – with the England captain having already bagged 22 in 17 matches.

However, Kane and Dier, who joined Bayern earlier this month, face the prospect of missing out on silverware in their first season in Germany.

The pair failed to win anything during their lengthy stints playing for Tottenham.

It means Kane and Dier are without any major trophies in their careers, but they were still brutally mocked by those on social media as Bayern’s hopes of another Bundesliga title suffered a major blow.

One person said: “They [Bayern] lost it when they signed Kane and Dier. You can take the boys out of Spurs but you can’t take Spurs out of the boys.”

Another added: “Kane fully is never winning a trophy, can only mean one thing… Tottenham Hotspur FA Cup winners 2024 🏆.”

A third replied: “Kane and Dier will not win anything in their lifetime😂🤣🤣🤣🤣.”

While a fourth simply responded: “The Harry Kane and Eric Dier affect.”

Bayern are already out of the German Cup having lost 2-1 to third tier side FC Saarbrucken in the second round back in November.

But Thomas Tuchel’s men are still in the Champions League after progressing through their group with five wins and one draw.

They will play Lazio in the last 16, with the first leg set for February 14, before the return fixture on March 5.
