JOSE MOURINHO has broken his silence after being sacked as Roma manager.
It comes after he was spotted leaving the Roma training ground fighting back tears on Tuesday.
In a statement, Mourinho took to Instagram to thank Roma fans for his time in the eternal city.
The manager posted a video montage of his best moments while in charge of the club and wrote: “Sweat, blood, tears, joy, sadness, love, brothers, history, heart, eternity.”
Roma fans flooded the comment section of Mourinho’s post thanking him for his time in charge of the club.
One fan wrote: “Mister [coach] not even when my ex left me I was so hurt 💔.”

Another said: “Thank you for what you did Mister, you woke up a city and we won’t forget. We hope to see each other again one day ❤️”
A third commented: “I’m not crying, I got conference league in my eye 😢”
The outpouring of grief from Roma fans represents the complicated relationship Mourinho had with Romanisti.
Despite poor results in the league, which saw him finish sixth twice in his two full seasons in charge and leaving with the club in ninth, Mourinho still enjoys a good relationship with Roma fans.

The “Special One” won the inaugural Europa Conference League during his first season in charge and finished runner up in the Europa League in his second.
He has also endeared himself to Roma fans by playing many academy graduates during his time in Roma, 13 in total.
But the club’s owners have backed Mourinho to the tune of £688million and haven’t necessarily seen a return on that investment in the league – despite his success in European competition.
Eye-achingly dull football combined with poor results of late were leading to a crossroads given Mourinho’s contract was up at the end of the season.
And the club’s owners will have bought themselves some goodwill from the fans by appointing Roma legend Daniele De Rossi as Mourinho’s replacement.
He is perhaps the only man that could have settled the anger of Roma fans that have taken Mourinho to their hearts.
