JAMIE CARRAGHER risked provoking fury from Liverpool fans as he blindly ranked the top ten managers in history.
The former Reds Champions League winner snubbed two legends from his old club for top spot.
And then to make matters worse, he opted for Sir Alex Ferguson as the greatest manager of all time.
Rather than simply coming up with a list of his top ten managers in history, Carragher was given a name and had to put it in a slot from one to ten, with no knowledge of who else was in the group of ten or would come next.
For example, Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp were not offered to him as an option, so could not be put in the top ten.
And therefore when Fergie popped out, Carragher put the ex-Man Utd boss in the number-one slot despite looking pained in doing so.

Former Liverpool boss Bill Shankly was the first manager Carragher had to assign a position, and he opted to put him in sixth place.
After putting AC Milan’s Arrigo Sacchi in seventh, the former defender opted to put Shankly’s successor at Liverpool, Bob Paisley, in fifth.
And he had no hesitation in putting his failed former England manager Fabio Capello bottom of the pile in tenth.
When Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone popped out, Carragher had nowhere to put him except second or third.

And Carra therefore opted for third position for the Argentine.
The last name he was given was a more successful former England boss, Sir Bobby Robson, who ended up second behind Fergie.
Fans were left unimpressed with Carragher’s placing of the ex-Liverpool bosses.
One put: “Paisley at 5 ?!? He should be 1”
And another wrote: “Stopped watching after Paisley went 5th”
A third posted: “Fergie first! 🤣 Paisley all day.”
And one fan wrote: “Paisley 5? Carra still drinking with the yellow wall?!?!?”
This was in reference to a TNT Sports video of Carragher watching the first leg of the Champions League semi-final with Dortmund’s famous supporters while enjoying a few beers.
