MANCHESTER UNITED midfielder Donny van de Beek has failed to seal a permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt following a dismal loan spell, his agent has confirmed.
The Dutch midfielder, 27, joined the German club in January until the end of the season.
Included within the deal was a £12million option to buy should Frankfurt choose to trigger a permanent move.
But according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Van de Beek’s agent, Guido Albers, has now confirmed Frankfurt will NOT buy the ex-Ajax man.
It means he will return to Man Utd in the summer as he searches for an alternative move.
Albers also told ESPN’s Goedemorgen Eredivisie that Man Utd will not sell to a fellow Premier League club.

He said: “Donny does not want to stay in the Premier League, also because United do not want that. That is not a good choice for him.
“He needs to return to a club that plays good football. In any case, he will not return to Ajax.
“My preference was to look in Spain, Italy or France. If I could get him in Spain or Italy that would be fantastic, at a club where he will play as a No10 like he played at Ajax.
“You see that the Dutch are successful in a certain way in Spanish or Italian football.
