A FORMER Arsenal star has a “taste for revenge” after suffering a horror injury a few weeks ago.
The midfielder was released at the end of the season after making 27 appearances last term.
Jeff Rene-Adelaide is now searching for the seventh club of his career after leaving Belgian side RWD Molenbeek.
The 26-year-old suffered a shock injury in May and was hospitalised after losing consciousness for ten minutes after a ball struck him in the head.
But he believes he has overcome the health scare and assured clubs he is fit and raring to go.
He told L’Equipe: “Last season, clubs were interested in my situation but needed to be reassured on a physical level.

“I needed a club that would allow me to find rhythm and fitness again. It’s obviously scary from the outside, but the injury had no after-effects or seriousness.
“I stayed under observation that same evening at the hospital and I left the next day. I didn’t really understand what happened… it was weird because I didn’t feel it was serious. I need to find a club whose sporting project speaks to me, that fits the football I love.
“But the human aspect will be essential… My priority is to have fun and be part of a good group. I also have a taste for revenge.
“Some have written me off, but apart from the ACLs, I have never been a very injured player. I have been labelled as a fragile player, even though it’s not true.”

Rene-Adelaide made eight appearances for Arsenal after spending three years in North London as a youngster.
He left for Angers where he impressed enough to earn a transfer to Lyon, where he played 48 games before moving to Belgium.
