At the event, the Shields Gazette interviewed several attendees.
One fan, named Ucha, revealed that he started supporting the Toon after seeing former boss Alan Pardew headbutt David Meyler during a match against Hull City in 2014.
The infamous incident occurred during a 4-1 victory for Newcastle, and saw Pardew land himself a £100,000 fine.
Explaining his fandom, Ucha said: “About 10 years ago I watched a game against Hull City.
