ITV NEWS presenter Rageh Omaar has divided opinions with his Premier League title race comment live on air.
The host let slip his football loyalties following Thursday’s top-flight action.
Liverpool beat Sheffield United to return to the top of the table and are now two points ahead of Arsenal.
The Gunners had leapfrogged their title rivals with a home win over Luton on Wednesday.
Reporting on Liverpool’s win, Omaar said: “To sport now and the tussle for the Premier League title is still as close as anything after Liverpool returned to the top of the table.
“They beat bottom club Sheffield United 3-1. Alexis Mac Allister got the goal that turned the game, so Liverpool are, regrettably, two points clear of Arsenal.”

Jurgen Klopp’s side are also three points ahead of third placed Manchester City with eight matches remaining.
However, Arsenal fan Omaar’s comments were met with criticism on social media.
One supporter wrote: “Wow, that is shameful.”
Another added: “Oh I’m sorry, I forgot it was the Arsenal news at 10.”

Others defended the presenter, though, with a third fan commenting: “Lol it’s just a bit of banter. Rageh Omaar is a well-known Arsenal fan.”
Arsenal can once again return to the summit as they visit Brighton on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are not in action until their trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Reigning champions City could also go top temporarily when they play Crystal Palace in Saturday’s lunchtime kick-off.
