FANS were convinced Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers stole Cole Palmer’s trademark celebration – but not all is as it seems.
England star Palmer, who joined Chelsea for £45million from Manchester City this season, got the nickname “Cold” Palmer for his ice-cool form.
And to accommodate the moniker, Palmer started to celebrate by putting his arms to his shoulders in a chilly fashion.
So when Rogers pulled off the same celebration against the Blues fans thought it had been nabbed.
But Palmer actually admitted he only started doing the celebration as a nod to his former City academy team-mate.
He said in December: “My boy Morgs did one for Middlesbrough, so I told him I’d do it too if I scored.”

Rogers had doubled Villa’s lead after a Marc Cucurella own goal put the host’s in the lead.
But Chelsea fought back to level through Noni Madueke and Conor Gallagher.
Axel Disasi thought he had headed a late winner only for it to be chalked off by VAR for a foul in the build up.
Rogers was probed on his celebration after the game and he said: “Yeah, he (Palmer) definitely copied me, it’s my celebration!

“Check the timeline, I did it first.”
The two came up in City’s youth system together and Rogers hailed Palmer’s breakthrough season.
He said: “He’s one of my closest friends not just in football but life generally so to see him doing so well I couldn’t be more proud of him.
“I think he’s now showing everyone what I and a lot of people knew he could do two or three years ago so it’s a pleasure to see.”
