ERLING HAALAND played through the heartbreak of losing his grandmother against Copenhagen.
The Manchester City striker lost Tone Rasdal, 80, over the weekend.
Rasdal, the mother of Haaland’s father Alfie, died peacefully on Saturday.
An obituary for Rasdal read: “Our dear mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, grandmother and great-grandmother Rasdal died peacefully today, aged 80.”
Norwegian outlet Nettavisen reported that Rasdal passed away at a Sivdaheimen nursing home.
It is expected that her funeral will take place next week.

Her death happened on the same day that Haaland scored a brace against Everton in the Premier League.
It is not yet known whether the striker had been informed of her passing before or during the match.
Haaland did not score against Copenhagen in the Champions League fixture last night.
He did wow fans with a stunning acrobatic attempt as he lept 7ft 6in in the air.

After the game, he did post on social media but kept his sentiments fully focused on football.
Alongside a picture of him in action, he wrote: “Halfway through ✔️ Let’s finish the work at home! 🙌🏻.”
City won the game against the Danish outfit 3-1 thanks to goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden.
Manager Pep Guardiola suggested that Haaland’s body language was “not good” during the first half against Everton.
He said: “These two goals will help him a lot to clear his mind.
“His body language in the first half was not good. The second half was much, much better. For him when he scores a goal, his mood is different.
“After it, he makes more movements and everything. He’s better.
“He has to learn that if he doesn’t score he has to have the right body language.
“He has to have this mood where he’s positive and he’s saying, ‘OK it will come, it will come.’”
