The Spanish midfielder was hooked off at half-time after appearing to pick up an injury.
The Manchester City star was replaced by Martin Zubimendi by manager Luis de la Fuente.
Zubimendi has previously been linked with a move to Arsenal after impressing at Real Sociedad.
Rodri appeared distraught as he was replaced and was visibly upset about the substitute’s bench.
The Spaniard could be seen holding his hamstring as he made his way off the pitch.
