NETHERLANDS defender Denzel Dumfries denied Phil Foden a wonder goal during tonight’s Euro 2024 semi-final.
With just over 20 minutes played, Foden worked his way into the box and skipped past two defenders before going for goal from a tight angle.
The ball slipped through the legs of Bart Verbruggen and looked to be going in, but Dumfries stopped it on the line.
Fans were left utterly stunned by the incredible block, with one person taking to social media to write: “That would have been the greatest goal of all time from Foden btw.”
Another commented: “Foden got to be the most unlucky player I’ve ever seen HOW IS THAT NOT A GOAL.”
A third said: “That looked like a goal by Foden lol.”

Netherlands took an early lead in the seventh minute following a fantastic strike from Xavi Simons.
However, Harry Kane equalised from the penalty spot shortly after.
England were awarded a controversial penalty after Dumfries caught Kane with his studs after a shot.

Referee Felix Zwayer initially dismissed the claims, but changed his mind following a VAR check.
Kane then fired the ball into the bottom-left corner, levelling the score at 1-1.
England later booked a spot in the Euro 2024 final thanks to a dramatic 90th-minute winner from super-sub Ollie Watkins.
