RANGERS fans were stunned when Jack Butland missed Gareth Southgate’s squad for friendlies with Brazil and Belgium.
Then they were up in arms when he was over-looked for a second call-up in favour of James Trafford last week.
And that anger spread around the WORLD.
WWE superstar Drew McIntyre is warming up for Wrestlemania next week and the Gers-daft muscle man says even HE can’t believe the shocking snub.
Butland has become a fan favourite at Ibrox since his summer move from Crystal Palace earning a ‘Super Jack’ nickname and terrace song within months after a string of strong performances.
Those displays have re-shaped Rangers’ season under Philippe Clement – and thrust him into the international spotlight.
But although he HAD met up with the squad earlier in the campaign and there was a clamour for his inclusion, the Gers No1 was on the outside looking in once again.
And the snub left Drew McIntyre RAGING.
He told Gareth Southgate: “You’re just an IDIOT”.
McIntyre is a well-known Rangers fan and has previously clashed with Chris Sutton over the Old Firm rivalry with Celtic.

His support has even seen heavyweights like Triple H weigh in on the Scottish Premiership action in the past – and the Butland row hasn’t gone unnoticed either.
Asked on That’s Football social media channel, McIntyre vented his frustrations.
He said: “They’re idiots for leaving him out the squad.
“Along with the captain Tav, he’s our best player.
“We’ve been searching for such a long time to replace Allan McGregor in goal. We tried multiple keepers, then had to bring Allan McGregor back, but finally with Butland – he is the man.
“He’s absolutely on fire. He is as I say probably our best
player along with Tav.
“To leave him out the squad, you’re just an idiot. Simple as
that.
“You’re a bloody idiot – from Drew McIntyre.”
Southgate may have overlooked the 30-year-old – but his form hasn’t gone unnoticed – even across the Atlantic.
McIntyre added: “He’s amazing. I’m blown away by how amazing he has been for us.
“The whole team right now has so much momentum not unfortunately in the Europa – in the first game that wasn’t a bloody penalty – nonetheless with the league we’v e got a game in hand to get it done and Butland’s a big reason we’ve got all this momentum.”
England lost to Brazil and drew 2-2 with Belgium.
But now the international window has passed it’s back to league business.
Rangers face Hibs in a fiery re-run of their powderkeg Scottish Cup quarter final earlier this month and then meet arch-rivals Celtic next Sunday in a top of the table clash – the same day as McIntyre competes at Wrestlemania 40.
