BOLTON manager Ian Evatt has been handed a three-match touchline ban by the FA.
The Trotters boss has been punished for a moment of madness at the end of their clash with Shrewsbury.
Evatt squared up to opposition skipper Morgan Feeney at the end of their 2-2 draw on October 5.
He was subsequently sent off by referee Declan Bourne following the incident.
The 42-year-old later accused Feeney of “grabbing” him during the altercation but admitted he “went too far”.
Evatt will now have to watch his side’s next three matches from the stands after the FA charged him with misconduct.

He has also been slapped with a £3,400 fine, an FA spokesperson confirmed.
Their statement read: “Ian Evatt has been suspended from the touchline for three matches and fined £3,400 following misconduct at the EFL League One game between Bolton Wanderers and Shrewsbury Town on Saturday 5 October.
“It was alleged that the manager’s conduct on the field of play after the final whistle was improper and/or violent.
“Ian Evatt admitted to this charge and an independent Regulatory Commission imposed his sanctions.”

As a result of the ban, Evatt will be absent from the dugout for the League One matches against Burton, Birmingham and Peterborough.
He will make his return to the touchline for the trip to Stevenage on October 29.
Evatt has been in charge of Bolton since 2020, winning promotion from League Two in his first season.
The former Blackpool and Chesterfield defender also guided the club to the EFL Trophy in 2023.
However, they suffered Wembley heartache last term, losing the play-off final to Oxford in May.
Bolton are currently 14th in League One this season after winning four of their opening nine matches.
