DOMINIC SOLANKE has made history after his stunning form in the Premier League.
The 26-year-old has swooped the Premier League Player of the Month award for December.
Solanke netted six goals in the league last month as Bournemouth put together a superb run of form to claw their way up to 12th in the table.
The former Liverpool man bagged his first ever Premier League hat-trick during December when he stuck three past Nottingham Forest keeper Matt Turner in a thrilling 3-2 victory for the Cherries.
And with Bournemouth losing just one of their six games last month it is no surprise that star man Solanke was voted as the league’s player of the month.
Solanke makes history by receiving the award as the first Bournemouth player in the history of the Premier League to pick up the accolade.

Solanke has been an unstoppable force at times this season and now has a total of 12 league goals in 19 appearances this term.
Only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland have found the back of the net more times than the Englishman.
And his astonishing form has earned him some reported interest from a number of big clubs including Arsenal and Newcastle United.
The Magpies are said to be keen on bringing in Solanke with boss Eddie Howe previously signing the bagsman when he was in charge at Bournemouth.
Although Howe has since admitted that it is unlikely they will be able to make deal work for Solanke with the one time England international too expensive for the Toon Army.
He said: “I love Dominic Solanke, I signed him and I rate him very, very highly.
“But we have not made an enquiry for him and we don’t have the ability to sign a player of that level.”
Solanke was joined on the December honours list by Aston Villa boss Unai Emery who was voted as the Premier League Manager of the Month.
