Andy Dillon’s match report
CHELSEA got in some early Thursday – Sunday practice as they mount a late charge for Europe.
And there were no signs of ‘Europa League fatigue’ as they ignored tired bodies to sweep abject West Ham aside.
Just three days after beating Tottenham, head coach Mauricio Pochettino rallied his young players to claim a second London derby win in succession.
This rout lifts Chelsea into seventh place where they are perched on Newcastle’s shoulders just points behind with three games each to play…

Full time match stats:
This is how the match stats look at the end of the game, dominated by Chelsea in all aspects, as expected.
Player of the Match
The prestigious SunSport player of the match award is presented by Lloyd Canfield to Noni Madueke today.
The winger caused no end of problems for Emerson Palmieri at left-back, and chipped in with a goal and assist too.
His assist was unselfish, as he showed a great first touch before squaring the ball to Nicolas Jackson to finish.
His goal was a well taken header, but he peppered Areola in goal all day long, and was unfortunate to leave with just the one goal.
An excellent showing by the England winger, who as I said in the week, has the potential to be one of the world’s finest wingers as he matures.
