But Cunha hit back just moments later to get Wolves on level terms.
An Axel Disasi own goal on the stroke of half-time put the visitors in front.
And Cunha grabbed his second of the game with a smart finish to make it 3-1 soon after the hour mark.
The Brazilian then completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot.
