BRIGHTON fans hit back at Roma supporters over their X-rated banner about the late Queen with a jibe about their iconic forward Francesco Totti.
Roma ultras unveiled an explicit banner about the late Queen Elizabeth II during the first leg of their Europa League last 16 tie at the Stadio Olimpico last week.
The sickening banner, which was unveiled in the first half of the match, read: “The Queen gave b******s.”
Seagulls fans didn’t take kindly to it and plotted to get their own back in the return leg at the Amex Stadium last night.
Their response was very PG in comparison to the banner at the Olimpico, although it was a funny retort.
It was written in Italian and read: “Totti adora l’ananas sulla pizza.”

In English, it translated to: “Totti loves pineapple on pizza.”
The banner was in reference to the staunch belief from many Italians that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza.
Footie fans were quick to react to the banner, with one saying on X: “Haahahaha fair play.”
Another said: “Wow impressive.”

And another said: “Class.”
One remarked: “British humour at its best.”
Another chimed in: “That’s the most superb Brighton response ever.”
Roberto de Zerbi’s troops were victorious in the second leg thanks to a solitary strike from veteran striker Danny Welbeck.
But they were dumped out of the tournament as they’d shipped four goals in the first leg in Rome.
