BORDEAUX star Alberth Elis was rushed to hospital after collapsing on the pitch with a head injury, according to reports.
Elis took a serious blow to the head during his side’s Ligue 2 clash against Guingamp on Saturday afternoon.
Elis, 28, was stretchered off the pitch after suffering a head injury from an accidental clash with Guingamp’s Donatien Gomis after just 34 seconds.
The game stopped for Elis to receive treatment which lasted for eight minutes while he was surrounded by team-mates, some of whom appeared visibly distressed.
The Honduras international was then taken off the pitch to applause from the crowd.
In a statement on social media, Bordeaux said he was then transported to hospital for treatment and to undergo medical examinations.
