THE promotion celebrations of a Spanish fourth division side went horribly wrong when a fan clattered into the goalkeeper.
Segunda Federacion side FC Hercules won promotion to the third tier after a dramatic win saw them clinch the league title on the final day of the season.
A 2-1 win over Leida meant the Alicante based club were crowned champions and the incredible moment was celebrated with a pitch invasion by the tens of thousands of fans packed inside the stadium.
What should have been a special moment for everyone involved almost turned sour extremely quickly when a fan slipped and slammed into the back of goalkeeper Carlos Abad.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper, who used to be on the books at Real Madrid Castilla, was curled up on the floor is disbelief at what he and his side had achieved on the last day of the season.
But as fans stormed the playing surface one supporter lost his footing and took a tumble right behind Abad.

As he slipped to the ground the fan went straight into the back of Abad and sent him flying forward.
Other pitch invading supporters ran over to see what was going on as thousands were blissfully unaware while they celebrated promotion.
Fortunately everything was okay in the end as Abad was able to join in with the celebrations after the collision.
Even the club’s official X account joked about the awkward moment while fans online were quick to make fun of the situation after learning that it didn’t result in serious injury.
