ARSENAL travel to Aston Villa this weekend looking for revenge after Unai Emery’s men all but ruined their title chances last season.
It’s a major clash between two of last season’s top four, with both teams winning their opening games last week, too.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal preview
Villa Park will prove quite the test for Mikel Arteta and his side in the Saturday teatime clash.
The Gunners failed to even score in any of the two meetings last season, with Unai Emery’s side essentially costing Arsenal the title.
Particularly in the game at the Emirates, when Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins struck late in the 2-0 win in April, essentially taking the title initiative out of Arsenal’s hands.
So Arsenal will be keen for revenge, but also wary of an early slip up in this season’s pursuit of the trophy.
Both teams started the season well – Villa with a 2-1 win at West Ham and the Gunners beating Wolves 2-0 at the Emirates.
Champions League football is on the horizon for both, but should be full focus on league business at the minute, which makes for an intriguing match-up.
Is Aston Villa vs Arsenal on TV and can it be streamed?
- Aston Villa vs Arsenal will be broadcast LIVE on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Premier League.
- Subscription members can stream the entire action on the Sky Go app.
- Alternatively, SunSport will have minute-by-minute coverage of the whole match.
What is the team news?
Tyrone Mings and Boubacar Kamara remain out for the hosts, with last week’s matchwinner Jhon Duran hoping his impact will put him amongst the starting line-up – however that looks unlikely.
The same can also be said of Jacob Ramsey, Ian Maatsen and Jaden Philogene who all played their part coming off the bench.
For Arsenal, Mikel Arteta looks unlikely to change the starting XI from last week, with Riccardo Calafiori and Jurrien Timber desperate to displace Oleksandr Zinchenko.

Aston Villa vs Arsenal betting tips and predictions
Spoils shared
Unai Emery looks to have the measure on his old club, proven by the fact Arsenal failed to even score against them last season.
While Arsenal will undoubtedly be up for it from the start, it’s a tough place to go with the crowd up for their first home game of the season and another tight contest is very much expected.

McG-innto them
Aston Villa captain John McGinn was hooked after an hour last week so will have a nagging feeling that he has to prove a point this week.
39 yellow cards in 170 Premier League appearances to his name shows he’s good for a booking – almost 1 in 4 – and has been booked in this exact fixture in two of the last three at Villa Park.
