MARTIN ODEGAARD has revealed the secret weapon to Arsenal’s set-piece play.
The Gunners have scored an impressive 24 set-piece goals in the Premier League this season.
That’s the highest tally in a single league campaign since the 2004-05 season.
Coach Nicolas Jover is able to take a lot of credit for revolutionising the club’s tactics since his arrival from Manchester City in 2021.
Odegaard, 25, has also revealed what else is to thank for the success.
He told the Men in Blazers YouTube channel: “Hard work and details to be honest.

“Our set-piece coach is brilliant and we work so much on details.
“Everyone believes we can score each time we have a set-piece.
“So mindset and hard work is the recipe.
“The most important thing is that we all understand the plan and everyone is thinking the same.

“I am not going to give away all the secrets here, but it is a lot of work.”
The set-piece work has helped the Gunners outscore all their rivals in the league so far this season.
Arsenal have scored 75 goals this season, three more than Liverpool and four more than Man City.
That, coupled with Mikel Arteta’s side’s best defence, has made them the favourites for the title.
Odegaard also revealed what he speaks to the manager about during the game.
He added: “There are so many things going on in the game, such as small tactical tweaks.
“I just try to speak to him and get that little information from him that we can execute on the pitch and make a change.”
