To the delight of fans, Cunha appeared joyful on his return to first-team training.

The Brazilian appears to have bounced back from the hamstring injury he sustained in February’s 2-0 defeat to Brentford.

But attentions quickly turned to the bizarre and mystical illusion that took shape.

The video shared by Wolves’ official X account shows Cunha – sporting a new in-the-style bleach blonde hair do – running to hug goalkeeper Jose Sa.

Sa joked: “Are you ready to take penalties? You used my comb yesterday. Do you know how I know? The white hair in it.”

But it was the spooky illusion that appeared as Cunha ran off that left fans convinced dark magic was being employed at the Sir Jack Hayward training complex.

Cunha skilfully flicks a stationary ball which appears to bounce of nothing but space.

However, to everyone’s disappointment another clip in the comments shows the ball simply bounced off another ball.
