A BARE-KNUCKLE boxer was so badly dazed after a stoppage he began fighting the REFEREE.

Keith Richardson faced Alberto Blas at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Florida.

In round one, Blas backed Richardson up towards the rope and let off a flurry of combinations.

Referee Sam Burgos stepped in to end the action but it caused a frenzy in the ring.

Richardson – a former MMA fighter – began attacking ref Burgos with a combination of punches.

It is unclear whether he was in a concussed and confused state or retaliating to the stoppage.

Members of his team rushed into the ring to stop the assault – as fans were left stunned online.

One said: “Oh my god Keith Richardson just tried to bare knuckle fight the ref because he was so concussed. Ugly scenes.”

Another added: “Keith Richardson was so out of it, he was fighting the ref.”

Richardson said after the fight and incident: “It’s been a long time since I’ve taken an L.
