Sky Sports forced to abandon Wardley and Clarke interviews after Brit boxers rushed to medical teams after bloody war

SKY SPORTS abandoned their post-fight interviews with Fabio Wardley and Frazer Clarke so the pair could be rushed to receive medical attention following their brutal draw.

The heavyweight thriller ended in both men having their hands raised after a bloody brawl in London.

And Sky Sports’ commentators confirmed after the contest that neither boxer would be speaking on the broadcast as they required medical assistance.

It is custom for fighters to be interviewed in the ring or on the apron immediately after the decision.

But this was not the case here as the pair sought expert help for their respective injuries.

British champion Wardley, 29, who narrowly clung onto his belt, suffered a HORRIFIC broken nose in the fight and was spitting blood throughout.

He also fought on with a badly swollen eye.

However, he still inflicted significant damage on Olympic bronze medallist Clarke – who swallowed a number of huge shots and was dropped heavily in the fifth round.

Eventually after the broadcast, Clarke did conduct an interview once he had received the medical attention he needed.

He said: “We didn’t bring the title back to the dressing room, so we are a little bit down and gutted.

Clarke was then seen visiting Wardley in the champion’s dressing room.

And Wardley could hilariously be heard joking: “Oh, won’t you f*** off, mate?”
