JACK CATTERALL has secured a huge win over Regis Prograis after a breathtaking bout in Manchester.
The Brit was downed in the fifth, but a fantastic response saw the American hit the canvas twice in the ninth round – which was ultimately the difference on the night.
Catterall now moves a step closer to a world title shot after Saturday night’s stunning win.

As soon as the decision was announced everyone in here celebrated the performance seen by the man from Chorley.

They are both giving as good as they get.
Flint lands a great hook which rocks Hatton.

Hatton as so much power behind the body shots he lands.
Flint catches his opponent with a good hook but it does not seem to phase Hatton.
Despite this, these are all point scoring shots and will help his cause if this fight does go the distance.

Flint needs a big three rounds if he is to stand any chance when it comes to the card.
Hatton seems to have more in the engine, Flint is looking as though the energy is being sapped this deep in the fight.
You still feel that Flint is not working that cut on Hatton’s eye enough, it could be his only route to a stoppage.

This has been a great fight to watch.
It is even but both fighters have had their moments.
That said, neither boxer is letting up in their pursuit of landing that big punch that swings the momentum in their favour.
Flint has a good end to the round and may have edged that one.

Both fighters cotinue to trade blows.
They both have war wounds as a result of cuts.
Flint has a bloody nose and a cut to the side of eye.
He also has that bleeding ear.
Hatton is still having problems with his eye bleeding when punches are landed on it.
