DAN MORLEY quit boxing two years ago to become a trainer for A-list celebrities in the Maldives.

The welterweight enjoyed five years as a professional before hanging up his gloves after the pandemic hit his earnings.

Morley found the pro scene difficult but left with an 8-0 record on the verge of his big break.

He fought at York Hall and the Indigo at The O2 before seizing an opportunity to cash in training people in the Maldives.

Morley revealed he trained hundreds of people on the Indian Ocean island, including Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown.

He told talkSPORT: “There were lots of people there, I trained hundreds of people, but most notably it would be Millie Bobby Brown from Stranger Things.

“Millie Bobby Brown actually has boxed, I think she’s boxed as an amateur. Yeah she was good.. very, very good.

“Hand speed, yeah, she was only 15, she was very young.

“She had pop in her shots, she moved well and had a lovely family as well.”

Morley, 27, is now eyeing a return to the professional stage after revealing he previously felt burnt out by the sport.

He wrote on social media: “My break gave me the clarity to take a step away from the sport, during a time where I felt burnt out.

“I never intended to retire, although I never made that public, but instead built this Instagram, my YouTube podcast and a TikTok page, creating content about the sport that I love.

“During that time nearly 400,000 people have followed my accounts which is just bizarre and I never expected it.

“Because of this, doors have opened that were not available before and I’m really excited about resuming my boxing career with a whole new world of opportunity.

“Sometimes you have to take a step backward, before making leaps forward and that’s what this has been all about.”
