WREXHAM have announced defender Harry Lennon has retired from football aged just 28.
Lennon signed a one-year deal last summer, with the option of an extra 12 months, but confirmed to the club he wished to retire due to injury.
Wrexham won promotion back to the football league this season under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Lennon was restricted to just one National League appearance in the entire campaign.
He also played in the FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United.
After announcing Lennon’s retirement, Wrexham tweeted: “We would also like to wish Harry Lennon the very best, following his decision to retire as a result of the injuries he has suffered.”

After sealing a return to the football league, Reynolds and McElhenney flew Wrexham’s stars out to Las Vegas for a promotion party.

And the Welsh club will resume their unique rivalry with Notts County in League Two next season after the Magpies won the play-offs.
Notts County dramatically twice came from behind against Chesterfield before triumphing on penalties to win promotion.
The Magpies finished the season on a whopping 107 points, four behind Wrexham, but National League rules mean only one team is promoted automatically.
